Job description: We are looking to hire an additional mature 3rd or 4th year Automotive Journeyman Mechanic with a proven track record to be part of our team. If you are an experienced Light Duty Automotive Technician with a strong background and experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks of all makes and models and licensed to do out-of-province inspections. Need to be proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools and have a conscientious attitude and meticulous approach to solving challenges. work on cars, trucks, and buses to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of all makes and models.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities and Areas of Specialization: Must have a comprehensive understanding of automotive engines and systems. Their primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles and our own vehicles to be reconditioned.
- Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
- Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems.
- Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotation, tire changes and alignments and installs.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
- Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
- Keep a professional appearance.
Automotive Technician Requirements and Summary of required Qualifications:
- Automotive Journeyman Mechanic Red Seal (Preferred) or Journeyman Automotive Mechanic (Preferred)
- Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License (Required and in good standing)
- Computer skills to do quotes and order parts online.
- Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strength in problem solving and creative applications.
- Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a controlled-paced environment.
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a lube technician.
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with all makes and model, domestic and import of cars, trucks, SUVs.
- Good hand-eye coordination.

Tire/lube service technician job description
You will be responsible for inspecting tires on client vehicles, making tire repairs, and installing new tires and wheels when necessary. Inspect tires closely before returning vehicles to customers. Other job duties include performing tire rotations, balancing, and other maintenance like perform routine vehicle maintenance, lubricate vehicle engine parts, and wheel bearings as well as replace air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters. You need to always follow all safety protocols when working in the shop.
